More often than not, yes. The only exception is if you have a newer boxspring (<3 yrs old) that is in excellent shape and is the same style of boxspring as the mattress you are purchasing is designed to work with. If these criteria are not met, Lebeda recommends that you purchase the set instead of just the mattress alone.
