Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I purchase a Lebeda Mattress?

We also can alter a mattress to whatever size and shape you want to suit your unique needs. Saving money, educating our customers, and the versatility to take care of all of our customers: That’s the Lebeda difference!

Why can’t I just give my old set to my kid?

A child’s body is growing and needs consistent and even support from their mattress, like the kind they would get from a new set from Lebeda. Additionally, over time, a mattress collects dead skin cells and hair follicles which attract dust mites and other organisms that when combined with all the body fluids that go into your bed on a nightly basis, leads to a rather unhealthy situation. And besides, if your old mattress isn’t good enough for you, why would it be good enough for your child?

What do I do with my old mattress?

Different municipalities have varying rules about mattress disposal, but most allow you to dispose of it with your garbage by using a special tag or by scheduling a special pickup. If you choose to have a delivery for your new Lebeda mattress set, we can haul away your old set for a nominal fee. Unfortunately we are unable to dispose of mattresses coming from apartment buildings, care facilities, or other community living sites. Bedbugs have become more common in recent years so there are steps we take to prevent the spread of these pests from home-to-home. Apartments and care facilities have a higher risk of infection because they provide easy access for these insects to spread which has prompted us to limit where haul-away is available.

While our delivery drivers are vigilant in their efforts to prevent cross-contamination, bedbugs and their telltale signs are difficult to spot, so the safest method is to discontinue hauling products from certain facilities. We do not discriminate… whether you live in the smallest apartment or a million dollar retirement home, we simply cannot haul old bedding from community living sites. As long as your old bedding is in sanitary condition, our drivers will gladly remove the items to a hallway space or dumpster if your lease allows, but we cannot transport items that could potentially infect new product being delivered.

What does Lebeda do with the old mattresses it hauls away? Simply put, they are disposed of. If you have a mattress that is in good shape but just isn’t comfortable to you anymore, see if you can find someone in need and help them out.

What All Does Lebeda’s Warranty Cover?

Lebeda’s warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. That covers a whole variety of things that could potentially happen, such as a spring popping through, the tape edging coming unraveled, or a boxspring breaking (assuming of course that there has been no abuse to the set).

One thing that isn’t covered is body impression. All beds will have some level of body impression and change in feel over time. Most manufacturers maintain that a bed is defective if the impression is 1.5-2″ or greater. Buying directly from the factory at Lebeda gives you a unique advantage in that while your bed may be dipping and isn’t a warranty issue, there are instances where we can still take your mattress back to the factory and alter it to make it feel the way you want. That versatility enables us to take care of our customers for years and is yet another reason why Lebeda has such a loyal client base. Lebeda cares about YOUR comfort.

I have back problems… What is the best mattress for me?

There is no 1 “right” mattress for all people with certain ailments or body types. With that being said, Lebeda believes you should sleep on the firmest mattress that you are comfortable with. Comfort is the key. Lebeda makes over 25 mattresses, so we should be able to find something that will work for you and help you get a healthy night’s sleep.

Here are a few helpful suggestions to help guide you to find the right Lebeda Mattress: If you are a stomach sleeper, then you’ll want a very firm mattress. If a stomach sleeper is on a soft mattress, he/she will sink in too far and bend their back in the wrong direction. Try the Legacy Firm or Heritage Firm.

If you are a side sleeper, that’s a little harder to pinpoint as far as firmness goes, but pressure point reduction is key for this group of people. A bed with pressure relieving latex or memory foam, or gel infused memory foam, might work best. Try out the Heritage Plush, Z2 Hybrid, and Opulence Pillowtop.

If you are a back sleeper, that’s difficult to pinpoint as far as firmness goes as a blanket statement, but postural support is key for this group of people. A bed with a superior support system might work best. Try out the Legacy Plush 2, Quanta, and Emmalyn Pillowtop.

How do I know if I need a new mattress?

There are a number of ways to tell that you may need a new mattress set. Among these are: Consistently waking up during the night; Tossing and turning in the hopes of finding an area on the mattress that is comfortable; Waking up with a backache that dissipates as the day wears on. These are pretty good clues that you need a new set.

Another thing to think about when it comes to knowing if you need a new set is the length of time that you’ve had it. Every night that you sleep on your mattress, it absorbs body fluids, dead skin cells, and hair follicles. This creates a prime habitat for dust mites and other micro-organisms to breed. This can cause serious issues for people with allergies (and even for those that don’t). The longer that you’ve had your mattress, the greater amounts of those things have accumulated, which obviously has a negative impact on your health. Considering that you spend about 1/3 of your life on a mattress, these are important factors to think about. Having a mattress protector for your mattress will help to mitigate most of these issues, but most people who have had their mattress for the last 10 years haven’t been using one.

Yes we do. Because Lebeda is first and foremost a mattress factory, we can pretty much build any size and shape of mattress that one could want with few restrictions.

Do I need to buy both a mattress AND boxspring?

More often than not, yes. The only exception is if you have a newer boxspring (Less than 3yrs old) that is in excellent shape and is the same style of boxspring that the mattress you are purchasing is designed to work with. If these criteria are not met, Lebeda recommends that you purchase the set instead of just the mattress.
